Pixies returns to the A List this week, along with many other eye-catching artists, such as Phantogram, Cold Cave, SOFT PLAY and more!

10. "Everything and Nothing" - SOFT PLAY


SOFT PLAY grabs spot #10 with "Everything and Nothing", the last track listed on their newest album HEAVY JELLY. The track was first released as a single in June, just before the new album released on July 19. The Everything and Nothing single includes 3 other tracks: "Act Violently", "Mirror Muscles", and "Punk's Dead".


The UK-based group will be on the HEAVY JELLY UK Tour starting in the middle of October. All dates are sold out except for the tour's first show on October 15 at The Dome in Brighton.








9. "See Through You" - Humdrum


Humdrum has us grooving along to "See Through You" this week, which is their first new release in over two years. The track was released on August 14, and again on September 4 with another new song, "There and Back Again". Both songs will be featured on their new album, Every Heaven, scheduled to release on October 18.


While no upcoming shows are scheduled yet, Humdrum has played quite a few times previously in their hometown of Chicago. We are hopeful they can eventually pay Cincy a visit!








8. "Come Alive" - Phantogram


Almost 3 months since their last A List appearance, Phantogram wows us with their newest track, "Come Alive". It released on August 23 and is the 9th track listing off of Memory of a Day, coming out on October 18. "Come Alive" is upbeat, flowy and fun. We cannot wait to see everything that this album has to offer.


Phantogram paid a visit to Cincinnati last week at Andrew J Brady Music Center. Other upcoming dates can be found here.








7. "Oontz" - MICHELLE


MICHELLE has spot #7 with "Oontz", released on June 20. The upbeat, catchy song is off their new album, Songs About You Specifically, scheduled to release next week on September 27. Other songs from the album that are already out include "Mentos and Coke" and "Cathy".


MICHELLE has an extensive list of upcoming shows across the U.S., such as New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; and more!








6. "Ride Away" - Sylvie Kreusch


Sylvie Kreusch gets our attention with her track, "Ride Away", released on August 2. Two other singles have released recently; "Hocus Pocus" and "Comic Trip". All 3 tracks will be featured on her newest album, Cosmic Trip, coming out on November 8.


Kreusch has a few upcoming shows listed on her website for December, playing in the UK, France, Germany and more.








5. "Virtual You" - 22° Halo


22° Halo earns spot #5 with "Virtual You", released on August 21. It is the second new single to be released by the band this year, with "Bird Sanctuary" first coming out in April. Both tracks are featured on their upcoming album, Lily of the Valley, scheduled for release on November 8. Their last album, Garden Bed, came out in October of 2021.


While the band has not yet announced a tour, follow their socials for any new updates.







4. "Another Businessman" - Jay Madera

Jay Madera, a Cincinnati native, wows us with his newest release in over 3 years: "Another Businessman". The track was released on August 30.


Madera has not yet announced another album or upcoming shows, but make sure to follow his socials for the latest updates.








3. "Crystal Breath" - Kim Deal


Kim Deal takes spot #3 with "Crystal Breath", her second new single in a decade. The track was released on August 28, alongside "Coast", which first released on July 15. Both tracks will be featured on her debut album, Nobody Loves You More, releasing on November 22.








2. "Siren Song" - Cold Cave


Cold Cave labels themselves as a band that makes "Icy Synth-pop for the hot blooded." Their single "Siren Song" came out on August 15. Their newest album, Passion Depression, is scheduled to release on October 15. Fate in Seven Lessons, was released in June of 2021.








1. "Oyster Beds" - Pixies


Pixies gains 4 spots after last week, making them #1 with "Oyster Beds". Their latest single is from their upcoming album, The Night the Zombies Came, scheduled to release on October 25. The Oyster Beds single features two more previously released tracks, "You're So Important" and "Chicken", giving us a brief look into what's to come from an album featuring new music.


The band has upcoming shows later this year, featuring two dates in New Zealand and 5 shows in Australia.
