10. "Homie Don't Shake" - Fcukers
Fcukers makes it to #10 with their new techno track, "Homie Don't Shake", that released on July 10. Another track, "Bon Bon", first came out on May 7. Both songs are off their newest EP, Baggy$$, that is scheduled to release on September 6.
Fcukers has two upcoming shows in Austin, TX on November 1: one at Kingdom and one at Empire Control Room.
9. "Here's The Thing" - Fontaines D.C.
Fontaines D.C. is no stranger to the A List and we happily welcome them back with open arms. "Here's The Thing" is the third track off of their newest album, Romance, that released on August 23. So far, Romance has over 35 million streams on Spotify combined between all 11 tracks.
8. "Hog Calling Contest" - King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard grabs spot #8 with their upbeat single that came out July 23. It is partnered with a second release of another new track, "Le Risque". Next, "Field Of Vision" was released as a single on August 6 before their newest album, Flight b741, came out on August 9. Their last album, The Silver Cord, was released on October 27 of last year.
The band recently started their fall tour. They made their way to Newport, KY on August 25 to play a sold out show at Megacorp Pavillion. You can check out other scheduled tour dates here.
7. "M" - Soccer Mommy
Soccer Mommy tugs at our heartstrings with "M", the latest single from her upcoming album, Evergreen. "M" was released on August 1 alongside another track, "Lost". Both tracks are listed as the first two options on the new album, scheduled to release on October 25.
Soccer Mommy (Sophia Allison) has 5 upcoming shows listed on her website. The closest one is in her hometown of Nashville on September 13 (week 3) at Musicians Corner, a free concert series. Other shows can be found here.
6. "Tuesday" - Toro y Moi
Toro y Moi gets our attention with his track, "Tuesday". This upbeat tune is off of his new album, Hole Erth, that is scheduled to release on September 6. "Tuesday" has a vastly different sound from his previous music and we cannot wait to hear more.
Toro y Moi (Chaz Bear) is on tour this fall, making stops in Dallas, Hollywood, Queens, Miami. Other dates can be found here.
5. "In Front Of Me Now" - Nada Surf
Nada Surf returns with their persevering and hopeful track, "In Front of Me Now". This is the first single from their upcoming album Moon Mirror, scheduled to release on September 13. Moon Mirror will be their first album since 2021's release, Cycle Through. Active since the 1990s, their sound has lightened over the years, but the feelings their lyrics evoke has remained.
Nada Surf (Matthew Caws, Daniel Lorca, and Ira Elliot) will be on the Moon Mirror tour this fall with special guest Office Dog, playing shows in their native city of New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, and more.
4. "Worthy" - Mavis Staples
Mavis Staples' "Worthy" brings the groovy, confident vibe we all needed this week. This track promotes self-love, appreciation and positivity. This is the first new music she has released in over two years after her album, Carry Me Home, came out in May of 2022, heavily featuring Levon Helm.
Mavis Staples has many shows listed for this fall, stopping in cities such as: Three Oaks, MI; Saratoga Springs, NY; Clearwater, FL and more!
3. "Starburster" - Fontaines D.C.
This is Fontaines D.C.'s week - two tracks on the A List is impressive. "Starburster" first came out on April 17 and impressively appeared on the A List nearly 5 weeks in a row. It was the latest release after albums, Skinty Fia and secondary release Skinty Fia go deo, came out in 2022 and 2023.
Fontaines D.C. (Grian Chatten, Carlos O'Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, and Tom Coll) started their tour in June, but make their way to the U.S. in September. Their nearest show is in Chicago on October 9 at The Salt Shed. Fontaines D.C. shows can be requested here.
Their newest album, Romance, was released on August 23.
2. "All You Children (feat. The Avalanches)" - Jamie xx
Jamie xx has us grooving along with "All You Children (feat. The Avalanches)". This is the fifth track he's released this year and is a mere glimpse into his new album, In Waves, that is scheduled to release on September 20. Jamie xx has had other songs featured on the A List over the last few months, such as "Treat Each Other Right" and "Baddy On The Floor". Both tracks are featured on his upcoming album.

1. "Tonight, Tonight (The Smashing Pumpkins Cover)" - Snail Mail
Snail Mail earns spot #1 with her cover of "Tonight, Tonight". This cover was featured in the A24 film I Saw The TV Glow. This is the latest release since EP Valentine (Demos) came out in November 2023.
Snail Mail (Lindsey Jordan) began her east coast tour on August 26, which features comedian and musician Tim Heidecker & The Very Good Band and Waxahatchee. Other upcoming Snail Mail show dates can be found here.
