Both songs will be featured on Destroyer's newest album, Dan's Boogie, scheduled to come out on March 28. Destroyer (Dan Bejar) will be on tour until March 3 and has visits planned for cities such as Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Chicago. More information can be found here.

6."Cumulonimbus" - The Ophelias

The Ophelias, a band native to Cincinnati, make it to the A List at #6 with "Cumulonimbus", released on February 6. It is the third track listing on their upcoming album, Spring Grove, which is scheduled to release on April 4. This is their first official album in almost 4 years after Crocus came out in September of 2021.

We spoke with Spencer Peppet from The Ophelias to gather more information about this magical track.

Inhailer Radio: "Cumulonimbus" has a lot of vulnerability in the lyrics. Can you talk a little bit about how you came up with the song?

Spencer Peppet: Cumulo was the first song that really clicked when I wrote it that I was working on a new project. It felt different than the songs I had written previously -- a melody that jumped around, weirder chords. I wrote it in the basement of my parents' house in Cincy after a years-old platonic, strange relationship came to a head and dissipated (Spring Grove has zero songs about romantic breakups). My bandmates added such cool parts to this song, I especially love Mic's drum part in the second verse.

IR: There are a lot of contrasting settings in the "Cumulonimbus" music video. How were all of the different scenes decided?

SP: We were going for a "surrealist Midwestern gothic" kind of thing! Looking for things that fit the color scheme and the themes of the record. I knew I wanted to continue the three of swords imagery from our last album Crocus, and thought it would be fun to switch it around and have the three of swords be me, literally getting impaled (lol). The rest got built from there.

IR: What can listeners expect in your upcoming album Spring Grove?

SP: Lots of guitars, heavier tones than our previous albums, some very personal songs, a trillion layered violin tracks, and some of my favorite lyrics I've written :)

IR: Anything else you’d like to share?

SP: We love Inhailer and Cincy radio! Thanks for including us <333

The Ophelias (Spencer Peppet, Mic Adams, Andrea Gutmann Fuentes and Jo Shaffer) will be on tour from April to May and will play a show in Columbus on May 9 at Rumba Cafe. Other tour dates can be found here.

5. "Night Or Day" - Franz Ferdinand

Franz Ferdinand makes a comeback this week with "Night Or Day", the 6th track from their newest album The Human Fear. Other tracks on the album include "The Doctor", "Hooked", "Cats" and more.

Franz Ferdinand is currently on tour and visit the U.S. at the end of March. U.S. cities you can find them in are Seattle, Los Angeles, Boulder, Chicago and more!

4. "Besties" - Black Country, New Road

Black Country, New Road impresses us with "Besties", released on January 30. As the track that leads their upcoming album, Forever, Howlong, it is only natural that it's the first single. Forever, Howlong is scheduled to release on April 4 and is their latest new music release after Ants From Up There came out in February 2022.

Black Country, New Road (Georgia Ellery, May Kershaw and Charlie Wayne) will be on tour later this spring and will play shows around the U.S.. Chicago, Denver, Loa Angeles and Portland all have dates listed, but a full tour list can be found here.

3. "Speed Freak" - Youth Lagoon

Previously at #4 last week and also for the fourth week in a row, Youth Lagoon returns with "Speed Freak". He goes for a darker tone in this track, switching it up from his usual dreamy, nostalgic feel. Youth Lagoon's newest album, Rarely Do I Dream, was released last Friday. This is the first album we've seen from Youth Lagoon since 2023, after Heaven Is a Junkyard came out in June.

Youth Lagoon (Trevor Powers) has many upcoming show dates for the Rarely Do I Dream tour, including a few in our general area! On May 4, he will be in Louisville at The Whirling Tiger and in Indianapolis on the 5th at HI-FI.

2. "Who Laughs Last (feat. Kristen Stewart)" - Lord Huron

Lord Huron returns at #2 this week with "Who Laughs Last (feat. Kristen Stewart)". This is the collab of a lifetime - Kristen Stewart's soft, melancholy voice was the best pick for this song. This track was released on January 24 and already has over 2 million streams on Spotify.

Lord Huron has an extensive list of upcoming tour dates, two of which are generally close to Cincinnati. On July 18, they'll be in Indianapolis with Indigo De Souza at Everwise Amphitheater. They'll also be at KEMBA Live! in Columbus with S.G. Goodman on August 8. Other dates can be found here.

1. "I Want You (Fever)" - Momma

Momma finally makes it to #1 after appearing on the A List for the fourth week in a row with "I Want You (Fever)", released on January 29. This upbeat, fun track was rereleased with "Ohio All The Time", originally released on October 22 and was featured on the A List on February 7. Both tracks will be on their upcoming album Welcome to My Blue Sky, which is scheduled to release on April 4.

Momma (Etta Friedman, Allegra Weingarten, Aron Kobayashi Ritch, and Preston Fulks) will be on tour later this spring, starting out at Skully's Music Diner in Columbus, OH on April 25. They will also be visiting Atlanta, Nashville, Houston and more!
