Review: Fleet Foxes Capture the Autumnal Equinox on New Album "Shore"

Here are the top 10 most played albums on Inhailer Radio this week! Chosen by real humans and curated just for you.

At #1 this week we have THE NEVERLY BOYS. If you sense that TV on the Radio energy, that's because this project is helmed by Dave Sitek of said band alongside producer and singer/songwriter Daniel Ledinsky. This is their debut record The Dark Side of Everything.

At #2 is Nashville, TN's Becca Mancari with her sophomore album The Greatest Part. Her debut was more of a Nashville tinged sound but after working with Paramore drummer Zac Farro, she realized indie was her true calling. Farro expertly produced this one and here's to hoping they team up again for future projects.

At #3 we have some of the most talented women in music right now, the Haim sisters. After a delay due to the pandemic, we finally got Women In Music Pt. III and it was worth the wait. Alongside Danielle Haim producing, we also see production from Rostam Batmanglij (formerly of Vampire Weekend) and Ariel Rechtshaid who has a vast amount of production work, Vampire Weekend's most recent albums being some of them.

At #4 is a member of Mellowdrone with his solo project Big Black Delta. This is his 4th solo LP simply entitled 4. There are a lot of big sounds happening on this record, arena ready guitar, space age synths and more all blended together for an ominous and psychedelic experience.

At #5 is Chicago's Twin Peaks with their new EP Side A. These are all songs that were recorded at the top of 2020, before the pandemic reached the US. Each song features other artists as well, specifically V.V. Lightbody, Ohmme and Lala Lala. Each song has a unique sound that's sure to get you grooving.

At #6 is Sydney based Lime Cordiale and their sophomore album 14 Steps To A Better You. They blend surf elements with indie rock and pop for some laid back grooves. Their song Inappropriate Behavior was a big hit with Inhailer DJ's last year when it was released as a single.

At #7 is Louisville, KY's My Morning Jacket with a surprise release The Waterfall II. Their last album was 2015's The Waterfall and at the time, it was promised there was more to come from the sessions. Well, 5 years later we finally have those tracks to hold us over until their next full, new release. Lead singer Jim James hinted at that being complete, but we'll just have to wait and see (hopefully not for 5 more years though).

At #8 is New Zealand indie-pop/rock darlings The Beths with their new album Jump Rope Gazers. They've been ones to watch ever since their 2018 debut and they don't disappoint on their new release. They've got pop sensibilities mixed with pop-punk hooks for a fun and mature sound.

At #9 is supergroup Muzz with their self-titled debut from early June. This group consists of singer Paul Banks (Interpol), multi-instrumantelist Josh Kaufman (Bonny Light Horseman), and drummer Matt Barrick (The Walkmen). It's a dark brooding almost noir sound that's sure to draw you in.

Finally, at #10 we have Hum with their first album in 22 years! They're a shoegaze/noise rock group who had a stint in the 90's who disbanded in 2000. They luckily weren't done because two decades later, we get a surprise release entitled Inlet that is chock full of that 90's rock you know and love but brought into the modern age.
