Moon Taxi: Alternative Jam at Madison Theater

Returning to the Cincinnati area for the first time since Bunbury Music Festival, Moon Taxi will be performing at the Madison Theater in Covington for not one, but two nights! With their unique grooves and infectious melodies, Moon Taxi brings a live show that you won’t soon forget.

Moon Taxi hails from Nashville, Tennessee. The indie-alternative rock band was formed in 2006 while frontman Trevor Turnup, guitarist Spencer Thomson, bassist Tommy Putnam, keyboardist Wes Bailey, and drummer Tyler Ritter attended Belmont University. Moon Taxi found mainstream success with release of their album Cabaret in 2010, and has shown no sign of slowing down. The band released their new album, Let the Record Play, on January 19, 2018, and has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan and Late Night with Seth Myers. In 2016, Moon Taxi also performed at Cochella, Hangout, Forecastle, Bunbury, Beale Street and Firefly music festivals.

Moon Taxi brings an alternative rock sound with a jam band twist. Need a song to dance to? Moon Taxi can provide that (check out “Suspicious”). Need a sing along song? They’ve got that too (check out “Two High”). Moon Taxi is unique, exciting and can keep you jamming all day long.

Since their inception, Moon Taxi has always provided music that is infectious, and they have a live show to match it. These are two shows you do not want to miss as Moon Taxi kicks off their tour!
